something disconcerting I noticed on my morning commute
this morning we were stuck in a traffic jam, and a bicycle passed on the freeway shoulder. seriously.

well, yes. which is part of why I don’t want to move back, ever. did you see my link to the story in the LA Weekly? - http://www.laweekly.com/ink/05/44/clear-kelly2.php - so depressing. even the things that got better when we were coming up are backsliding.
here, unfortunately, it’s just getting worse and worse and worse. travelling from Oly is crazy enough; I can’t imagine what it’s like going from Gig Harbor. (that is the one thing we have that is instantly worse than LA, as far as traffic: lots of places where there’s only one road (read: bridge) that goes from here to there.)
