the last batch of starts went in on Sunday, and seem to be surviving. the 2nd set of seeds is coming up, and I planted a bunch more vegetable seeds in the flower beds, both to use them up and to fill in the beds a little. the nasturniums that I popped in at random a month and more ago are coming up in droves.

the tulips are all gone — which seems early to me — same with the first round of candytuft blossoms. the lilies are getting ridiculous tall, despite the fact that quite a few weren’t buried quite deep enough.

and this weekend I ate my first vegetables grown in my own garden: two arugula leaves (peppery!) and a radish barely large enough to get the name.

a 2nd photo album to come, once I get around to it.
