Probably the most complex thing I’ve ever knitted. Each individual bit was not that difficult, but all together it’s a remarkably complex little work. I think I could’ve stuffed the body a little more to get a more sturdy neck.
I also wonder if it would’ve been a stronger design to do the head from the top down, then pick up stitches and do the body top down as well.
On the other hand, the whole thing is ridiculously adorable, and the recipient (a co-worker with a year-old daughter) was delighted. I may make another, as I have lots of all the colors except the black.
Got a little crooked, but it’s a hella cute pattern. Will probably make another with the rest of the tan Cascade Superwash 220.
FWIW, did the feet as i-cord, which worked pretty well, less klutzy than regular in the round.

Really really really easy little hat. I probably could’ve made the R1 section a little longer, but as it is, it fits quite nicely.

Wasn’t too sure about this pattern initially, but I really like all the subtle lace/texture with the texture of the yarn. Opens up some but not a huge amount with blocking. (I even pinned it & left overnight.)

Made this on my bus ride to work. Accidentally did some K3Tog instead of the slip-k2tog-psso that’s in the pattern. Not as smooth an edge, I think, but still has the right shape. Could stand for some blocking, probly, but might just mist with water & pin instead of soaking.

I’d forgotten how long it takes to go through the part after the short rows!
All done but the weaving in ends. It’s huge & cozy!

Even after blocking, it’s just tiny. This pattern really should be made with a MINIMUM of 300 yards of fingering weight. I don’t even know what I’m going to do with this thing.
OTOH, I’d love to make a summer top out of this yarn. The feel and drape of the finished fabric is amazing: soft, flowy, but also nubbly.
I ended up keeping it, and it’s actually a pretty decent little neckerchief.
