whew. don’t know what that was about, but it looks to be all better now!

so, for some reason the ol’ weblog isn’t posting. and what is up with that?

I am wiped. what a stupid, off-kilter day. and I didn’t even take time to make soup.

now I go home to no internet. let’s see how long it takes us to get back up….

saw LotR again today, in honor of Tolkein’s birthday. a damn fine movie. and the music didn’t bug me as much this time for some reason. that’s a deep, heavy story, and I can’t wait for the next installment.

I miss Grandpa Nelson…reminded again by the fall of Gandalf. my grandfather often had that same combination of seriousness, weariness, and good humor.

I could almost see it again, but I’ll probably just go re-read the books.

I’m absorbing things, and reordering my view of the past. again.

one last thing – painful, and probably doesn’t make any sense

I’ve been trying to work on the gazeteer, but it just isn’t jelling, and I think I need to go to bed so I’m not quite so groggy as I was this morning. I hate that feeling!
