again, I wish for more weblogging buddies. – or that some of my existing friends would ‘blog. esp. would love it if…Kat – Tom – any of the Q guys – Raul – Franz – Greyson – or perhaps a blast from the past, someone like Dizzy or Thao?

damn. I can’t forget to send Thao a holiday card! with a letter, that’s for sure.

what I almost said, but decided against, was that I’ve gotten religion. but that is the long & the short of it – not “zeldmanism” – whatever that would be; and more than just a passion for “standards” or even “accessibility” – instead, a vision of the web as a MULTImedia. I’m not totally sure what that means just yet, except that it (the ‘net?) could be a deep pervasive thing, if we think of it that way, if we let it be that way.

and maybe standards and accessibility – a consiousness of what we do – will lead us down that path.

I see, in my mind’s eye, Marin crouched over the “machines” singing gently to them; Aila talking aloud in the quiet house(?) and a voice always there to answer her. I see a book that does not end, and poems splayed across the sky.

oh, and rice crispy treats come out with a much more consistent texture if you mix them in a larger pan.

okay, grandma dillon would kick my ass. this house is a disaster. I/we have nothing to say in our defense.

everything I want to write now sounds hopelessly banal.

I got passionate about web standards on this MeFi thread. and verbose, really, really verbose. jeez, what was my problem?

if he’s concerned about getting a 28, then how should I feel about getting a 30? zoiks.

I’m cold, and the caffeine has worn off. I’m going to bed. no, the chapter’s not quite done, but I think I have enough of the 1st half to integrate with the existing 2nd half. I think.
