Festive Mesh Cowl

Thought it kind of looked like a poodle when it was finished, and I wish it were a bit taller (?) but it’s very cozy & looks nice doubled up.

cloud shawl

10/10 – I think it would look even better being blocked, but pretty happy with the results as is. (Was sort of hoping to end up with something bigger, tho.)

note: I washed & very lightly blocked: yes, definitely bigger, if not huge. Needs a shawl pin.

Starting rows: (since they aren’t in the pattern!)

CO 5 stitches
K2, M1, K1, M1, K2 (don’t remember which direction those Ms were)
K2, P3, K2
K2, M1L, K1, M1R, K1, M1L, K1, M1R, K2
K2, P7, K2
Then as per pattern

Not super-thrilled with how that turned out in the top center at the moment, but will see when it’s actually done.

Probably did a couple rows too many of the first section of stockinette.

Somehow ended up uneven between the two sides, worked it out when I was at about 70 stitches total.

Yarnaggedon Socks

July 3 – re-cast-on!

July 8 – seems to be getting tidier, have gotten cuffs finished & am working main pattern.

August 13 – turned the heel weekend before last. Since then, 6hr drive + 4hr presentation have gotten me pretty far along with the feet.

sunshine teddy bear hat

Accidentally did regular rib instead of twisted rib.

9/2 – my first ever cable!

9/4 – did the decreases slightly wrong, but not anything particularly noticeable. has some laddering in one spot. may block lightly (ie, wash), but maybe not. did one few…

Tubular Goth Scarf

Got inspired by stitch in “Stitch ‘N Bitch Superstar Knitting”, hoping to have red stripe at one (?) end, grey on one side, black on the other.

4/17 – restarted after a long break. (2 mos?)

8/19 – re-restarted.

8/21 – swapped colors

Ended up doing black/grey stripes until the black ran out, then joined back in the last of the red. Had a bit of a weird spot (backwards?!) with the join, but it looked interesting enough that I left it in.
