from the dilbert blog (no, seriously). very long.
the usual sort of I-haven’t-been-posting-post
wow.? I just realized I haven’t posted in like a week.? The hot (by my standards) weather has made me all sooper-sleepy, especially since they haven’t turned on the air conditioner in my office, and so I have been going to bed early.
On the writing front, I’ve been taking the laptop to work and writing in the van, because I’ve found that I suck at transcribing, or even remembering to transcribe, stuff I write in my paper journal. I’m getting about 3 pages a day, just plugging away at a specific section of part two.? (Reboa returns!)? I’ve been listening to Tijuana Sessions, Vol. 3, which I highly recommend.? (Yay for the library!)
On the cycling front, I’ve ridden somewhere every single day this month with the exception of the day after my big ride to Evergreen. Mostly just to & from the vanpool, but on Sunday I had a lovely ride with C to the Farmer’s Market; we came back the long way, which was beautiful and strenuous in a good way.
Lots of photography, too, and today I broke down and got a pro account at Flickr, because I find I really like using it.? It’s just plain nice.? Although what kicked me over was running into the 200-photo limit in the photostream.
Web-wise, I’m working on a total redesign (still in progress!) of my friend Paula’s site. She’s an amazing artist, and you should buy her paintings. :)? Plus of course continuing to maintain the neighborhood association site, and now I’m occasionally posting over at OlyBlog. (more local sorts of things)
Out in the yard, our Neighborwoods tree arrived today; the irises and the pink daisies are starting to bloom, and corn has sprouted.
So, yeah.? Quiet here, busy everywhere else.

brings to mind the health care kerfuffle of earlier in the year. it seems to me that MG has a tendency to take the business POV unvarnished as a starting point.(tags: society)
