I’m taking some big steps in my life that may look like baby steps. I’m still trying to decide whether and how much to write.
But I have to say that writing, in general, has been a saving grace in my life, and this space here, with the people I’ve gotten know or reconnect with, is one of those parts of my life that I treasure most. Thank you.
Steps are good. It’s all steps, at some level.
Which is all the profound I can be after six hours on a bus, sorry.
That’s about as profound as I could manage myself. (Six hours on a bus? ew.)
George Carlin said that words are all we have, really. He said it in the context of being careful with how you use them, but I say it in the context of the need we monkeys have for two-way communication. You don’t have to communicate with absolutely everybody, but even one person can be a comfort.
