but I’m finally getting some things done. today a guy came out and relocated the gas pipe in our kitchen so it’s inside the wall, instead of sticking out in the room where it’s a perennial pain in the ass. talked to a contractor today, too, about putting an interior window in the wall between the kitchen and the living room. (a couple more people on that list, and since it sounds like it’s not a load-bearing wall, we may end up doing it ourselves. but listening to the contractor(s) is a very helpful process.)

also thinking about more windows, pulling the sliding glass door to fix the nasty wood underneath. (apparently, there’s some sort of epoxy you can put into the wood to bring it back to its previous condition. who knew?!) and painting the outside of the house, which is in less than stellar condition.

oh, yes, I am taking another week off of work to putz around in my unfinished kitchen. thanks for asking.
