mmmm…. memes are what it’s all about. god bless the web. cycled through some real names: my favorite was Erratic Marvel. which of course I found thru a random blog I found on blogger. while seeking inspiration for that student programs site. I think I’m just not cutting edge enough.

mail.com is being snarky –

mail.com is being snarky – looks like they upgraded, or something – it’s ssslllllooooooowwwwww and all my old mail has vanished. (only temporarily, I hope!) thank goodness all the Q-related mail is going thru hushmail!

that’s been interesting too – Elmer and Steve came last night. I fear we were a little overwhelming. but they seem like nice guys, and they’ve got some good writing.

need an antidote to jelly beans – it’s taking forever to get rid of the ones I got for easter. yes, they are still quite edible.

friday afternoon. ho hum. I

friday afternoon. ho hum. I waxed philosophic, and talked about shit I don’t know anything about (like the web design job market) in my interview (see tuesday’s entry).

taking a break from the usual stuff. I’m trying to come up with a design for puyallup student programs, and feeling vaguely stumped. oh yes, and I’m avoiding working on the bulletin. it just seems monumentally unfair, somehow, like creating a web page with a typewriter.

time seems to be flowing

time seems to be flowing strangely today. don’t know how to put it any better than that.

I want to get a cup of tea…my fingers are really cold. ah, the famously uneven weather of the northwest spring.

blah blah blah

wanna goof off. need to run away.

blogging from home, for once.

blogging from home, for once. I’ve actually spent the last hour or so writing, finally working out a scene that I haven’t quite been able to deal with before.

would write more, but I fear the rice is about to burn!

I’m going to be over

I’m going to be over at the other college all morning, so I probably won’t get a chance to write again. 🙁

so last night Kat called

so last night Kat called – which was really cool. she actually read my log entry about her this week, which was nifty & weird at the same time.

hearing a good review of

hearing a good review of ani di franco’s new record – sounds pretty treatful.

god, I could really use some new music. it’s been just the same stuff over & over again…too much revisiting of the 80s. ‘course, I won’t steal music from Napster – not that I have any fondness for the labels, but I actually believe that artists should own their work. and frankly, even the idea of wandering out to find the people that are giving it away is a little daunting. I don’t even know where to begin. most radio sucks, even if I got more than 10 stations. the end is all versions of buttrock, even if they don’t like to admit it – angry white guys trying to be black. bleh. so all I listen to is the resurrection jukebox on sunday mornings – yep, more 80s music. which, i guess, just means I’m getting on in years. 🙂

but it’s more than that. I’m not really a one-style listener – I’ve just been totally turned off by what goes by the name “alternative” now – and other popular music just sounds like the bad junk from the 80s. dumb teen pop.

grrrr. if I had an extra $25, I’d by ani’s new album, just on principle.
